I've sat on both sides of the conversation.
I have spent more than 35 years across banking, insurance, leadership development and coaching.
I am Kaidi Bowen, an executive coach, coach trainer and leadership development specialist with more than 35 years' experience across sales, banking, mortgages, insurance, insurance underwriting, hotel management, leadership and coaching. I also hold the R05 Financial Protection qualification. My experience isn't only in learning and development. I have worked in commercial, customer-facing and regulated environments where targets matter, customers matter and people are expected to perform. I have sold. I have managed people. I have worked in banking, mortgages and insurance. I have experience of insurance underwriting. I have led in hospitality. I have trained and developed people, and today I coach leaders and train coaches. That breadth matters to my coaching because I understand what it feels like to be responsible for both people and performance. I don't coach leadership from a textbook. I've lived a lot of the situations my clients bring into the room.I have managed people. I have got things wrong. I have run around trying to be everything to everybody. I spent years believing leaders were somehow different from people like me.
Then I learned to coach, and it fundamentally changed the way I led.
